2015-01-12 11.57.32Making jewelry has been an exciting addition to my life, allowing me to channel my creativity and share it with others. My mediums vary across a wide spectrum which include silver art clay, base metal clay, dichroic glass, and leather. My inspirations come from color, texture, shape, or even a deeper meaning that then expresses itself in a finished piece. Working with all the different mediums allows for versatility and endless possibilities. It can test your patience at times, but overall it helps you to slow down and enjoy the little tasks that make life, and the love of art, more meaningful.

Much like baking, metal clay is a process from scratch. This is a very important aspect in creating any piece as I believe the journey is just as rewarding as the outcome. The feeling I get when I see a finished piece after hours, or days, of work always amazes me and keeps my inner creative fire burning.

I have many passions in my life: my family, our farm and animals, fiber arts, and baking, but creating jewelry brings me a deeper pleasure that adds zest to an already blessed life.

Always remember: “EARTH” without “ART” is just “EH”

I hope you enjoy my jewelry, Denise
